The simple version
Feel better naturally — without popping a pill
This is the simple page I send people when they ask what PEMF is, which device I use, and why the Glowing IC Pad 3 has become part of my daily health toolkit.

A simple visual explanation of the device, how it works, and why it has become part of my daily wellness toolkit.
I travel a lot, and my PEMF device now comes with me pretty much everywhere.
You may see me using it at a restaurant, at a café, while travelling, or wandering around with it tucked against my body like a slightly unusual wellness accessory. Sometimes I’m using it to create IC water. Sometimes I’m using it directly on my body. Either way, I rarely leave the house without it now.
Which means, unsurprisingly, people ask me about it all the time.
“What is that thing?”
“What are you doing to your water?”
“Is that some kind of red light device?”
“Do I need one?”
And fair enough — PEMF and Infopathy can sound wildly complicated when you first hear about them.
So I made this page as the simple version.
Not the overwhelming science lecture. Not the “you must buy this immediately” version. Just the plain-English explanation of what it is, why I use it, how I think about it, and where to get the device and discount code if you decide you want to explore it too.
This is not medical advice, and I’m not saying this replaces proper medical care. It is simply one of the wellness tools I personally use all the time — and one I now get asked about often enough that it deserved its own page.
PEMF, explained simply
Your cells need energy to heal. PEMF may help give them that energy.
PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy. It uses gentle electromagnetic pulses that interact with tissues and cellular processes. The simple version: it supports the body’s natural repair systems without drugs or needles.
Pulse
The device emits pulsed electromagnetic fields.
Signal
Those pulses interact with cell membranes and ion movement.
Energy
Research suggests PEMF can influence cellular activity, repair pathways, and inflammation responses.
Support
Your body uses that energy and signalling to support recovery, comfort, sleep, and regulation.
Evidence snapshot
PEMF is not new, but the details matter.
The evidence depends on the device, frequency, intensity, placement, condition, and protocol.
FDA
FDA approved a non-invasive PEMF bone growth stimulator for specific bone-healing use.
FDA executive summaryNASA
NASA-linked research explored electromagnetic-field approaches for bone, cartilage, muscle and tissue contexts.
1989 report 2006 study NASA technology transferResearch review
A literature review describes PEMF as non-invasive and biologically active, with effects depending heavily on parameters.
PubMed reviewBone density
A review found PEMF may support BMD and balance in older adults with primary osteoporosis, but evidence certainty was limited.
Systematic reviewThis does not mean all PEMF devices do the same thing. Results depend on the device, settings, placement, duration, frequency of use and the person using it. This page is educational only and is not medical advice.
What people use it for

My lived experience
Why I personally use it
I use my PEMF device because, in my own experience, I usually feel better after I use it.
That is the honest answer.
Over the years, I’ve reached for it during headaches, migraines, stomach upsets with no obvious cause, muscle injuries, travel fatigue, general body aches, and times when my nervous system felt like it needed extra support.
I also used it religiously as part of my recovery routine after my mini stroke and brain surgery. I’m not claiming PEMF was the reason I recovered well — recovery is complex and medical care matters — but I do believe it was one of the supportive tools that helped me feel stronger through that process.
One of the moments that really made me pay attention was when I injured a muscle in my leg. It was so painful I could barely walk for three days. For some ridiculous reason, probably because I was in pain and not thinking clearly, I forgot to use the device. When I finally remembered and used it, I was able to get out of bed and start walking again.
It still took days to properly recover, but I remember thinking: I really do not want to know how long that would have taken if I had not used it.
That is the thing with this device. I do not see it as a miracle machine. I see it as a practical support tool. When I use it consistently, I notice I feel better. When life gets busy and I forget, I usually end up wondering why I stopped using the thing that helps me.
The next level for me is making it a proper daily routine — because I suspect I would be far better off if I used it as consistently as some people do.
My regular-use starting points
I choose programs based on the outcome I want, not the science I want to memorise.
These are draft categories to make the page useful for clients and friends. They can be swapped for Merilyn’s exact favourite Infopathy program names once confirmed.
Sleep support
For nights when the body needs a gentle downshift and less nervous system noise.
Pain + inflammation support
For muscles, joints, discomfort, and recovery days when the body feels overloaded.
Stress + nervous system
For moments when the system needs regulation rather than another stimulant or productivity hack.
Energy + cellular support
For days when the body feels flat and needs a gentle systems-level nudge.
Water IC transfer
For creating IC water as an easy daily habit. Two minutes, then sip throughout the day.
High-performance health tech
“Robbins said he uses PEMF five or six days a week — and every day when running seminars.”— Business Insider/Yahoo, 2017
Tony Robbins is not exactly known for doing things halfway.
So when he talks publicly about using a serious PEMF machine as part of his recovery and performance routine, I pay attention.
After a severe rotator cuff injury, he said PEMF helped bring his pain down enough that he could finally sleep. In a Business Insider/Yahoo video, his trainer described the machine as a pulsed electromagnetic field therapy device and said machines like it can cost around US$25,000.
To be very clear: Tony Robbins is not endorsing Infopathy or the Glowing IC Pad 3.

Drug-free support does not mean reckless claims.
PEMF is non-invasive and generally considered safe for many people, including families and pets. But this page is educational, not medical advice.
Please keep working with your medical team. If you have a health condition, take medication, are pregnant, have an implanted electronic device, or are thinking about changing medication, treatment, supplements, routines, or lifestyle habits, get proper medical advice first. Nothing on this page is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or replace care from a qualified practitioner.
Important safety note
Do not use PEMF devices if you have a pacemaker or implanted electronic device unless cleared by a qualified medical professional. If pregnant, managing a serious condition, or unsure, ask your practitioner first.

My honest advice
If you are curious, start simple.
Do not buy it and then try to use every program at once. That is the quickest way to overwhelm yourself and then leave it in a drawer.
Pick one reason you are using it.
Maybe sleep. Maybe stress. Maybe recovery. Maybe IC water. Maybe general wellness support.
Use it consistently for a little while and pay attention to your own body.
That is how I use it — not as a complicated protocol, but as a practical little wellness tool that I now genuinely miss if I leave home without it.
Use code Merilyn10 for 10% off.
