The small device people keep asking me about.

I use the Glowing IC Pad 3 for PEMF, IC water and light-based wellness support. If you have seen me carrying it around and wondered what it actually does, start here.

Watch the walkthrough

Watch the device in use before you get lost in the science.

If PEMF and IC water feel abstract, the walkthrough makes it practical. You can see what the device looks like, how I use it, and why people stop me to ask about it.

The simple version

Why I made this page

I travel a lot, and this device now comes with me almost everywhere.

I use it for IC water. I use it directly on my body. I use it when I want recovery support, when my nervous system feels overloaded, or when I simply want to give my body a bit of extra help.

Because I use it in public, people ask the same questions all the time:

“What is that thing?”
“What are you doing to your water?”
“Is that a red light device?”
“Would it help me?”

PEMF and Infopathy can sound complicated at first. They do not need to be.

This page is my plain-English explanation of what the Glowing IC Pad 3 is, how I think about it, and where I would start if I were looking at it for the first time.

This is not medical advice, and it does not replace proper medical care. It is one of the wellness tools I personally use and get asked about often.

PEMF, explained simply

PEMF is a signal your body can respond to.

PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy. It uses gentle electromagnetic pulses that interact with tissues and cellular processes. The simple version: it may support the body’s natural repair systems without drugs or needles.

01

Pulse

The device emits pulsed electromagnetic fields.

02

Signal

Those pulses interact with cell membranes and ion movement.

03

Energy

Research suggests PEMF can influence cellular activity, repair pathways, and inflammation responses.

04

Support

Your body uses that energy and signalling to support recovery, comfort, sleep, and regulation.

Evidence snapshot

PEMF is not new, but the details matter.

The evidence depends on the device, frequency, intensity, placement, condition, and protocol.

1979

FDA

FDA approved a non-invasive PEMF bone growth stimulator for specific bone-healing use.

FDA executive summary
2024

Research review

A literature review describes PEMF as non-invasive and biologically active, with effects depending heavily on parameters.

PubMed review
2022

Bone density

A review found PEMF may support BMD and balance in older adults with primary osteoporosis, but evidence certainty was limited.

Systematic review

This does not mean all PEMF devices do the same thing. Results depend on the device, settings, placement, duration, frequency of use and the person using it. This page is educational only and is not medical advice.

Light settings

Explanation about the different light setting

Red light

good for circulation, reducing inflammation, tissue healing → use for pain, recovery, skin repair.

Blue light

antimicrobial, calming → use for skin issues, relaxation, calming the mind.

Infrared light

penetrates deep into muscles/joints → use for deep pain, muscle/joint recovery.

Please note, Infrared lights are not visible for our eyes.

use red and blue together (with infrared) when you want a synergistic effect—e.g., enhanced imprinting strength on the Glowing IC Pad 3, since the Blue+Red+Infrared mode is recommended for “enhanced imprinting” and stronger transfers . It’s also appropriate for comprehensive body applications where you want both superficial (blue) and deeper/healing (red/IR) support at once; for example, Whole Body and Spine Chiropractic PEMF is often run with all three lights on, placed over the sternum or stomach . For skin-related uses, red/IR is typically favored (healing/anti-inflammatory), blue is favored for acne, and combining them can be used when you want both actions in the same session or to amplify outcomes.

My lived experience

Why I personally use it

I use my PEMF device because, in my own experience, I usually feel better after I use it.

That is the honest answer.

Over the years, I’ve reached for it during headaches, migraines, stomach upsets with no obvious cause, muscle injuries, travel fatigue, general body aches, and times when my nervous system felt like it needed extra support.

I also used it religiously as part of my recovery routine after my mini stroke and brain surgery. I’m not claiming PEMF was the reason I recovered well — recovery is complex and medical care matters — but I do believe it was one of the supportive tools that helped me feel stronger through that process.

One of the moments that really made me pay attention was when I injured a muscle in my leg. It was so painful I could barely walk for three days. For some ridiculous reason, probably because I was in pain and not thinking clearly, I forgot to use the device. When I finally remembered and used it, I was able to get out of bed and start walking again.

It still took days to properly recover, but I remember thinking: I really do not want to know how long that would have taken if I had not used it.

That is the thing with this device. I do not see it as a miracle machine. I see it as a practical support tool. When I use it consistently, I notice I feel better. When life gets busy and I forget, I usually end up wondering why I stopped using the thing that helps me.

The next level for me is making it a proper daily routine — because I suspect I would be far better off if I used it as consistently as some people do.

My regular-use starting points

I choose programs based on the outcome I want, not the science I want to memorise.

These are draft categories to make the page useful for clients and friends. They can be swapped for Merilyn’s exact favourite Infopathy program names once confirmed.

01

Sleep support

For nights when the body needs a gentle downshift and less nervous system noise.

02

Pain + inflammation support

For muscles, joints, discomfort, and recovery days when the body feels overloaded.

03

Stress + nervous system

For moments when the system needs regulation rather than another stimulant or productivity hack.

04

Energy + cellular support

For days when the body feels flat and needs a gentle systems-level nudge.

05

Water IC transfer

For creating IC water as an easy daily habit. Two minutes, then sip throughout the day.

Safe, simple, sensible

Drug-free support does not mean reckless claims.

PEMF is non-invasive and generally considered safe for many people, including families and pets. But this page is educational, not medical advice.

Please keep working with your medical team. If you have a health condition, take medication, are pregnant, have an implanted electronic device, or are thinking about changing medication, treatment, supplements, routines, or lifestyle habits, get proper medical advice first. Nothing on this page is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or replace care from a qualified practitioner.

Important safety note

Do not use PEMF devices if you have a pacemaker or implanted electronic device unless cleared by a qualified medical professional. If pregnant, managing a serious condition, or unsure, ask your practitioner first.

Community notes

Want to see how other people use it?

There is also an Infopathy Facebook group where people share how they use the device, ask questions, and talk about different ICs and programs.

I always recommend using common sense with any Facebook group — read, observe, ask questions, and do not treat group posts as medical advice.

My honest advice

If you get one, do not overcomplicate it.

The fastest way to waste a useful tool is to turn it into a 47-step protocol you never follow.

Start with one reason. Sleep. Pain. Recovery. IC water. General wellness support.

Use it consistently for a little while and notice what changes. That is how I use it: not as a miracle machine, but as a practical support tool I now genuinely miss when I leave home without it.
